Gohu, also known as the King of Hyrule (Legend of Zelda universe), was born in a dark corner of Kakariko Village, in the land of Hyrule, early at dawn on Sunday, October 29, 2018.
A devotee of Hylian rap, after long rides on horseback with Epona through the valley and adventures in the Spirit Chamber and the Temple of Time, I wanted to share my journey and my quest for emotions through music. I weave together vivid imagery, striking alliterations, and resounding assonances, driven by impactful cloud-style instrumentals—like the sound of a galloping horse—and a sharp flow, cutting like Link’s sword against a monster.
The Triforce of Inspiration
For Gohu, Link’s determination, the wisdom of the sages, and Zelda’s emotions form his Triforce. Poetry becomes his outlet, a way to reshape the destiny of the Hylian people. Like a modern-day Peter Pan, he dreams of breaking free from the confines of adulthood, using music as his escape and purpose.
4. A Mythical Challenge
The gods presented Gohu with a riddle:
« Twelve ancient runes, like the twelve labors of Hercules, will seal the world’s fate. Will you rise to the challenge, young hero? The four elements (wind, earth, fire, and water) are the key to the music scale.”
This challenge unfolds through three EPs, each with two tracks unlocking one of twelve talismans. Mystical themes like « The wind rises », « I breathe fire », and « The earth awakens » take listeners on a journey through shifting elements and moods.
The Legend Begins
Now, the legend is in motion. The Triforce awakens, the Water Temple opens, and Gohu invites listeners on a ballad into the depths of water—his music evolving as the adventure continues
