Review
Honestly, there are some strong issues here that really push the story forward, driving Matt Murdock/Daredevil to the edge of the abyss. It makes you wonder how things could get any worse for him. For the first time, there’s a real imbalance between his personal and heroic lives. But I have to say, there are a few issues where the writers seem lost, throwing in multiple fillers that don’t quite hit the mark.
With Frank Miller coming on board, though, it’s clear the character is about to be revolutionized once again—and I can’t wait to see it.
Overall, I’d call this a mid-tier story. Not the best, not the worst, but undoubtedly crucial in Daredevil’s evolution. Some of the artwork, especially in issues 220 and 221, is absolutely exceptional.
