Review

This was my very first encounter with this story—never watched the movie, never read anything about it before. So walking into Watchmen with a clean slate made the experience even more powerful.

From the jump, I was shocked. Genuinely stunned by the quality of the storytelling—the way the panels are structured, the pacing, the depth in the art, and the methodical character development. It’s all so masterfully done.

In just 12 issues, the narrative feels complete and clear—but at the same time, I walked away feeling like there’s still so much more beneath the surface. Like I only scratched the top layer of what this story is really trying to say.

What really hit me is how grounded and critical the story is—especially in how it frames the roles of “heroes” and “villains.” Nothing feels black and white, and that moral ambiguity just makes it all the more gripping.

One thing’s for sure: this is a story I’ll come back to, again and again. It’s the kind of work that grows with you every time you revisit it.
