Review
What a strong second volume in Brubaker’s run. You can feel it—he’s no longer setting things up, he’s fully locked in. The pacing, the tone, the stakes—everything is sharper, more intense, more Daredevil.
That ending? Absolutely brutal. It leaves you genuinely wondering how Matt—and Milla, especially—are going to make it out of this. The tension is off the charts.
And major props for bringing back classic Daredevil villains and giving them actual weight. They’re not just cameos—they feel tougher, more dangerous, more grounded. The Gladiator is terrifying here. And Mister Fear? Way too powerful. Can’t wait to see where that goes.
Honestly, this volume proves that Brubaker knows exactly what he’s doing with this character.
