Review

Honestly, this was a strong volume that neatly wrapped up an arc while laying the groundwork for what’s coming next. Even though the next run technically started earlier, this one feels like a proper transition point—a breather before things escalate again.

I loved that Daredevil traveled, especially to Sintra. Living in Portugal myself, I could instantly tell from the artwork that those scenes really were set in Sintra. It’s a small detail, but it adds a cool layer of authenticity.

Beyond that, the chess match with Vanessa was super compelling. In the previous volume, everything pointed toward a direct showdown with Fisk, but this twist shifted the focus completely—and it worked. A cerebral, unexpected move that added a lot of depth.
