Beautifully written blend of French variété and rap, packed with raw emotion and powerful storytelling

For over a month, I’ve had the chance to listen to Réparer by The Doug multiple times, and honestly, it has an incredible amount of quality. Artistically, it’s the perfect blend of melancholic tracks, very close to French variété, yet so well-written, with writing patterns reminiscent of what French rap offers. Moreover, I find that the emotions are so well conveyed and transcribed that they sometimes leave you with a lump in your throat.

I find the two features on this project very interesting because they’re not just there for show; they genuinely enhance the musical world of this album.

I highly recommend this project—it’s undoubtedly one of my greatest musical discoveries of the year.
